So its been a while. What happened, you ask? We got deeply involved in the opening of a new haunted attraction in Southeast Michigan in 2015! Rotten Manor was a huge success and Misfit Props will be back on board for 2016 expanding and revamping. This will include many new scenes, custom props and lighting. We'll also be attending Transworld's Halloween and Attractions Show in St Louis, MO in March. We'll be there as buyers with Rotten Manor, not as a vendor, but if you want to chat while we're there, drop us a line. Stay tuned for more ideas and progress reports on projects for the upcoming haunt season.
See something in our store that you think you've seen before? Could be. Some of the props we sell are our own designs and implementations of props we were inspired by on the internet, from industry trade shows, etc. intended to be used in our own haunted attraction. If we thought we came up with a quality, reproducible version of a useful prop, we turned it into a standard product. We spend hours scouring the darkest corners of the internet searching for the best deals on parts and components to be able to bring variants of popular props to you at affordable prices. This is exactly why you won't see the exact same props on our site as you will on other haunt vendor sites. We don't build what others can do better, or at more competitive prices. We won't be building and selling pneumatic prop armatures, air cannons or dead bodies (unless you ask us to). You can find those all over the place from many other great vendors! What you will find here are unique ideas from our own minds, different takes on some useful props which are not widely available, and affordable DIY components.
